Plant a Seed and a Shutter Will Grow

shutterstock_175081304

Ever wonder where shutters come from? They come from Basswood trees, a wood that has a natural luster, fine even texture and is a favorite for wood carvers. Seeds are planted and a beautiful tree produces bushels of shutters. The trees are topped and then continue to grow more shutters. The wood is kiln dried, a process that shrinks the wood and makes it stronger and harder. Builders pick only the best for our shutters, take down your detailed request like color and size, then deliver them to your door. They even install at no extra charge! Trees grow in the northeastern states, so they are born and raised in the USA.

We also offer Knotty Alder and other types of wood by request.

Oh Baby, Look at those Shutters!

Holy Hanna, the shutters in this beautiful home turned out amazing! So excited to see how this job turned out. Their home is much cooler now with the shutters blocking out the strong southern heat; and it doesn’t  get sharper than this. Thank you for choosing Tiffany Shutters and congratulations on the new baby about to arrive at your home.  Let the light in, keep the heat out and shine on!
